I don't think I can put into words how much I love these "faults" you put into you characters like making their lips look a bit dry and not well kept and how their skin can look damaged at some points, or just very wrinkly <3 Hnrgh your lineart, also I love the Gif's effect with the 3D style uvu
Omg thank you... I'm trying to steer away from picture perfect characters featured in old art which were all shiny and "fake". I want to capture imperfection in my characters like you said, the cracked lips and also the tired wrinkled eyes and eyebrow hairs to capture a sense of realism. ; v ;
Thank you again for the nice comment, I greatly appreciate it u v u
omg thanks LOL ahh but seriously all of your gallery is just amazing. if you don't mind me asking, and you've probably said somewhere before-- what program(s) do you use, and also what brushes? Basically what i want to know is how do you get your lines to look so much like they're inked? o A o
I apply a noise brush texture + a paper texture to achieve that traditional effect. You might want to fiddle around with the intensity of the textures themselves until you're happy with them. :'D
Other than textures I just use the pen or brush tool set to 2-3 pixels in diameter with the "Min size" raised slightly to thicken it u v u
HO MAN WHAT PLS DON'T BE TOO SCARY
so ty for not doing something too crazy :,,D
I want to just brush her hair sdkjfs nice weathered details like the droopy collar and eye-creases! *77*
